The Baring, Islington
Loved: Everything, more or less. The inside of the yorkie was soooo fluffy, and the beef was sexual.
Loathed: Well the roasties could have done with a little chuffing, and the yorkie was burnt - and tasted so in parts.

Bar & Block, King’s Cross
Loved: Soft and spongey yorkie, good cauliflower cheese and really tender sirloin. Surprisingly good for a chain.
Loathed: Very thin and watery gravy with a slightly oily texture.

Rotunda, King’s Cross
Loved: They had toilet roll. Gravy was thick and sexy, lamb was joyously pink and fatty (in a good way)
Loathed: Roast potatoes were poor. Also coronavirus. This is my last review for a while, isn't it?

The Tamil Crown, Islington
Loved: I loved the gravy/masala sauce, the Gobi 65 was stunning, prawn crackers were a revelation in as much as something of the texture of Quavers can be, the mixed veg avial was also glorious. Lots of flavour.
Loathed: Well, is it really a roast dinner? I liked the roti, but I prefer a Yorkshire pudding. Red cabbage a bit al dente. Not much really to dislike.

The Lighterman, King’s Cross
Loved: Quite thick meat-stock gravy, succulence of the pork balanced the crispy crackling perfectly.
Loathed: The service was poor – inattentive, unhelpful and frankly useless, bar the young lady going upstairs to get us extra gravy. The Yorkshire pudding odd, one spud bad.
